FOTLH - Festival of the Little Hills

There are two Big Volunteer Options this weekend.

(Scroll down for more info on each, but the The Trash Duty operates out of the back of the food booth.  So that location is pertinent to both.)

Class B or casual!  It probably will be Hot out!

Here is an exact link to guide you in.

You will need to park at a nearby location and shuttle in.

Here is a site map for where to park and shuttle. Please allow time to park and shuttle to be on time for your shift!

Ameristar (parking lot,  not garage) has parking / shuttle and also Life storage.

Our tent is by "the depot"  which is one of the only buildings between the road and the river. It's an old train depot. There is a  caboose train car by this depot. (it's not red though)

**We are pretty close to Shuttle Stop 6, but adjacent stops may be fine.

-Food Booth-

We are selling Food.  Bratwurst's, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Walking Taco's, Drinks etc.

Here is the sign-up Genius.   Food Booth Sign Up Genius  <--- click here

If you noticed, the shifts overlap to provide extra coverage during peak times, we should have 3 of everything when it gets busy.  The payment is done based on sales proceeds.  We calculate our profit and divide by all the hours that you worked.  If it's sunny expect a very good wage, we were very busy last year!   Arrive early to allow for parking and shuttle time!

-Trash Detail-

Want to earn some money for your scout's account?  Want your scout to have some skin in the game and earn for his own account?  Have any brothers...  sisters...  aunts... uncles...  or buddies who owe you a favor?  We get the opportunity to work trash detail at the Festival of the Little Hills, helping others leave no trace.

You and your scout can earn $17 per hour, rain or shine, by helping the festival area stay clean.

We are responsible for rolling trash canisters to the dumpsters and emptying the contents into dumpsters along main street and the fairgrounds.

This can be a bit strenuous, so it is required that younger scouts (12 and under) must work their shift with an adult.

The later shift on Saturday (6-10pm) can be a bit hectic, due to the amount of trash needing dumped.  We recommend adults and older boys (13 plus) to work this shift, (6-10pm).  Due to the heavier work-load, this shift will be compensated at a higher rate - abt $21 per hour.

Water and gloves will be provided.

At the beginning of your shift, please meet at the tent by Troop 30's food stand.
