About Troop 30

Boy Scout Troop 30 is chartered by the New Hope Presbyterian Church, in St. Charles, Missouri, and we are part of the Boone Trails District in the Greater St. Louis Area Council. We are a non-denominational troop.

Our weekly Troop Meetings are held each Thursday from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at New Hope Presbyterian Church. The address if 1580 Kisker Rd, St. Charles, MO 63304. Any changes in meeting locations will be communicated via the troop calendar and via e-mail.

Parents are invited and encouraged to stay and observe the troop meetings. Our primary means of communication is through the Scout via announcements at the beginning of meetings and during closing circle - parents are welcome to "listen in" during the announcement times in case information doesn't make it home (emails to parents and the Troop 30 website are used as secondary means of communication, again in case information doesn't make it home).

Troop Committee Meetings are held once each month (unless otherwise noted on the Troop Calendar) at 7:00 PM. All committee members and parents are encouraged to attend the meetings - "Every parent has a voice, and every Committee Member has a vote".

Patrol Leader Council (PLC) meetings are normally twice a month. PLC meeting take place before troop meetings. Alternate dates / times / places are communicated to the PLC as needed.

Troop 30 strongly supports the mission of the boy Scouts of America:

"The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people

to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime

by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law".
